תקציר:
Although policymakers in ministries of education recognize and support the initiative of STEM teachers to use educational robots in their classrooms, robotics is nevertheless not a mandatory part of the curriculum in many countries. Furthermore, not many STEM teachers utilize robotics activities in their teaching. Many teachers avoid incorporating robotics into their lessons and prefer to teach in traditional methods. There are several barriers to the effective implementation of innovative practices in STEM education. In some cases, STEM teachers lack the competencies as well as the motivation and/or resources like time to make the necessary changes. Our study aims to identify the required competencies needed to integrate robotics activities into STEM education, particularly due to the lack of comprehensive models that address the necessary competencies for teachers to effectively teach STEM with robotics. In addition, our study aims to investigate how a task-centered robotics professional development program influenced teachers’ competencies, self-efficacy, and attitudes toward integrating robotics activities into STEM education. Finally, our study aims to identify the factors influencing integrating robotics activities into STEM education from teachers' and principals' perceptions.

בין היתר דועאא פועלת בהתנדבות כחברת ועד הנהלה ורכזת מערך ההדרכה בארגון צופי השלום הדרוזי בשפרעם, וכמדריכת קורסי מד"צים וקורסי הכשרה למדריך צעיר באגף חברתי לקהילתי תלמידים ונוער במשרד החינוך ובהתאחדות הצופים והצופיות בישראל.
לשעבר, דועאא הייתה רכזת מעבדות פיזיקה, הנדסה וטכנולוגיה ביחידה לנוער שוחר מדע, טכניון, מרצה בתחום הפיזיקה, במרכז קדם אקדמי, טכניון.
