Group leader: Prof. Miri Barak
Research goals and subjects: The Science and Learning Technologies group is devoted to develop, integrate and research advanced learning environments in science and engineering education, such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), MOOCs, Cloud applications, Mobile learning, Game-based learning, and more. The group examines cognitive and socio-cultural aspects of digital learning and the assimilation of 21st century skills.
We develop and investigate innovative tools and approaches for the promotion of critical thinking, flexible thinking, innovation, and ethics in science and engineering education. In addition, we lead research on the Nature of Engineering (NOE) in collaboration with researchers from the University of Oxford, England.
The group is engaged in the development of research tools and the promotion of innovative pedagogical models, such as the Games of Food, Cloud pedagogy, C3 , SOCIAL , NOE and more.
Study population: school students, science teachers, science and engineering students in higher education.
