Since it was founded in 1964, the Faculty of Education in Science and Technology at the Technion focuses on the training and professional development of teachers, leaders and entrepreneurs in the fields of science, mathematics and engineering education. This is conducted through state-of-the-art research with the purpose of advancing education in Israel into the 21st century, to maximize the potential of human capital.
The faculty’s vision is to play a leadership role in solving social challenges through ground-breaking research and innovative practices. We see ourselves as a driving force for positive social change on a local and global scale, for shaping a future where knowledge and expertise empower individuals and communities to thrive in a rapidly evolving world.
The faculty provides high-quality and in-depth teacher education in seven areas of specialization: Mathematics | Physics | Chemistry Biology | Computer Science technology-machines | Electronics-Electric |
The faculty promotes an innovative working environment in a variety of teaching and research areas, such as: Artificial intelligence and social robots, Educational technologies and escape rooms, Teaching laboratories, Neuroscience and learning, Science communication, Sociology of education, and more.
Our undergraduate and graduate programs are unique in that they combine innovative learning theories and advanced technologies with practice. Graduates of the faculty have a wide range of job opportunities, such as: teaching and leadership in schools, museums, and higher education; key positions in the education system; training and development in the business sector, in Hi-Tech and Ed-Tech (educational technology); consulting in the fields of science communication, Neuroscience and education, and more.
