  educators and K-12 science teachers alike the tools to engage in a dialog
 ic mode of collaborative action research (D-CAR)\, a collaborative mode of
  action research focused on teachers’ experiences with students\, reflec
 tion upon these experiences\, and peer learning. Renowned science educator
 s from across numerous settings in K-12 science education present the theo
 ry\, methodology\, case studies\, and practical advice to support the use 
 of D-CAR as a means to enhance teachers’ normal practice and address the
  problems\, dilemmas\, and dissonances that science teachers must negotiat
 e as they work to meet the needs of an increasingly diverse student popula
 tion and engage with complex science teaching challenges that disproportio
 nately affect marginalized students. The book addresses diverse audiences 
 such as science teacher educators\, pre-service and in-service science tea
 chers\, professional development specialists\, or any science educator inv
 ested in developing creative\, reflective\, and thoughtful teachers.\nShor
 t bio:\nAllan Feldman is Emeritus Professor of Science Education in the C
 ollege of Education at the University of South Florida\, USA. His research
  has focused on science teacher learning and action research. Although Dr.
  Feldman’s science background is physics\, most of his current work is i
 n the area of environmental education and global sustainability. He has b
 een PI and co-PI of numerous NSF projects\, many of which have been in col
